Storytelling

Something I always wanted to try was to get up on a stage with no notes, no anything, and attempt to entertain an audience with a story. Luckily, I have often listened to Moth Radio on NPR. Ann Tennes invited me to see what was happening at SPACE, a place in Evanston where, once a month, people get up in front of about three hundred people and tell a true story based on a theme. Some of these stories make it to Moth Radio. That is my goal.

Here are some of my efforts that won first place. From time to time I’ll add more attempts, perhaps not always winners. It’s interesting that I waited till my “dotage” to give this a shot. It’s freeing; it’s frightening; it’s fun, all at the same time!
